Do Dreams Come True?
I met a surfer pastor named Jim while Ned and I were on vacation in California. He is building a church in Ocean Beach, California. Part of his mission is to attract young people – many of them surfers. He joins them and he loves it and he builds friendships. He keeps his cell phone on 24-7 to be open to someone in need. And he is fulfilling the mission of Jesus Christ in his life. His dream and Michele, his wife’s dreams are becoming a reality.

Michele spent much of the last eight years in bed with a rare debilitating disease.
Only a few hundred people in the US have been diagnosed with it. They have two children, Faith and Isaac.
They have had to watch their Mom suffer for years. Then she was miraculously healed. In one day, she began to live a normal life. A few months later her back went out and she has had to return to bed much of the time. Have they lost their dream?
While on our trip, my husband Ned and I went to Yosemite National Park in Northern California. It was majestic and unbelievable. The gigantic tall rugged mountains seemed to stretch high into infinity; the forests below surged with life; the rivers crashed against boulders and the deer and bears peeked their heads out to look at us. It was magnificent. And the answer came to me... hope! In John 14:19 the Bible says: "Because I live, ye shall live also."
And we do live with His hope, waiting for our dreams to come true. Ned and I saw God in nature’s beauty and in the beauty of the faces of people who are trusting Him to carry them through the daily struggles of life. It’s not about us – it’s about His dream for our lives…
